WMA Supports the Community

We should always make time to express gratitude for what we have, which is why it is important to our team that WMA supports the wider community.

At Web Marketing Angels, we believe in giving to those who need a little more help.  The start of a new year is a very motivating time, and we encourage all our clients and friends to take a moment to consider the groups WMA supports.

There are several ways that WMA supports the community.  It is important to remember that giving back can happen in a variety of ways, which means you don’t have to limit yourself to one or two charities or community groups.

Four Paws
The team at Web Marketing Angels loves all animals, and believes that they should all be treated humanely, with love and respect.  This is why we support the work that Four Paws does.  This global group helps to provide a voice for animals and works tirelessly in its endeavor to end suffering, particularly at the hands of humans.

Sweet Shepherd Rescue Australia Inc. – sweetshepherdrescue.org.au
This Melbourne-based not-for-profit group is dedicated to rescuing, rehoming and providing care for German Shepherds.  WMA supports any group that is committed to caring for these beautiful canine teddy bears!  If you haven’t checked out our Meet the Team page, head over and meet our very own band of cheeky German Shepherds, who bring joy to every workday.

Casey Crime Page – Facebook
With nearly 50,000 members, the Casey Crime Facebook Page is the central online hub that keeps everyone in the Casey area informed about local incidents and events.  This page has been responsible for creating awareness about local concerns and has even helped to locate stolen property and elusive people issued with warrants.  Web Marketing Angels is a proud sponsor of the Casey Crime Page, supporting the group’s administration through paid advertising.

Dry July Foundation
Dry July is a fantastic not-for-profit organisation that helps people with cancer, their families and carers get the support they need.  People all over Australia choose to sign up for the alcohol-free challenge every July and raise funds via sponsors and donations.  The money raised goes to some of the biggest cancer-related groups in the country, including the Cancer Council, McGrath Foundation, Redkite, Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre, and various major hospitals.

This year, two members of the WMA team undertook the Dry July challenge, and raised money for this worthy charity.

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation
The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation leads the way in Australia, providing much-needed support for brain cancer wellness and research.  The current 5-year survival rate for brain cancer patients is 20%, and this amazing organisation aims to bring this rate up to 50% by 2023.

Plan International
The goal of Plan International has two key elements.  The first tackles the injustice and poverty faced by children all over the world, while the second deals with the equal treatment of girls all over the world.  In some countries, this includes working to stamp our child marriage and labour.  This children’s charity is one that WMA supports wholeheartedly, and we feel that everyone needs to take time to reflect in gratitude, as well as look at how they can play a role in helping to improve the livelihoods of children all over the world.

PAKEX
Something new and exciting is coming to the Cardinia area!  PAKEX 2020 is the first annual board game and hobby expo for Pakenham and the surrounding areas.  Organised by the Region of Pakenham Gamers Incorporated (RPG Inc), it is a showcase for the extensive and wonderful world that is tabletop gaming.  Web Marketing Angels is proud to help this not-for-profit group by donating web hosting.

WMA Supports the Community

WMA supports these organisations for many reasons, but mostly because they give so much to the community and really need the extra assistance to continue their fantastic work.  Whatever their goal, however big or small it might seem, they make a real contribution.  Isn’t that what life is really about?
