The Butterfly Princesses is an online store design that is all about quilting, and their simple yet sweet website has everything a quilter could want.
Debbie Nillson – the owner of The Butterfly Princesses – has over 10 years’ experience with quilting, sewing, and crafts. Based in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne, she provides custom quilting services as well as products for quilting fans.
The key function of The Butterfly Princesses website is as an online shop, selling fabrics, accessories, and patterns. The store has a wide range of fabrics available in different styles and types. There really is something for everyone.
Simple, yet beautiful…
When WMA created this website design, we kept the colour palette simple, black and white complimenting a beautiful purple. There are also loads of great images, of quilting projects as well as the fabric products themselves.
There are two menus for this website. The first is the main header menu, with an About Us page, Products page with individual pages for different product categories. Then there is a Sale Items page, Fabrics section, Machine Quilting Service page with pricing, and a Contact page.
A footer menu helps visitors to the online store find the items they are looking for. It contains links to each product category from Accessories to Wide Back Fabrics. The body of the Home page has a slider with images showing various quilting jobs for customers and the workshop where they were created.
We created this website with a layout that is easy to navigate, and a backend that is simple to maintain and update. Debbie manages her own products and inventory and has been successfully operating her online shop for some time now.
